The Ultimate Fighting Championship is once again giving us free Mixed Martial Arts action live on Spike TV. It’s all going down on September 16 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma. Former TV reality stars, UFC veterans, and some young talent will throw down during an event expected to make or break some careers. Co-headlining the event will be a great match up between former “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Nate Diaz against another TUF alum Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard and Gray Maynard going against the young MMA stand-out Roger “Matador” Huerta.

The night will be filled with other “The Ultimate Fighter” alumni, as well as some new faces in the UFC. The world’s largest MMA promotion will extend their reach even further with this action packed event. Here are the match-ups and our picks:

Nate Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard

Two tough young fighters with skill sets that are envied by aging veterans will go to battle. Guillard is extremely athletic and experienced with 41 wins in 52 pro MMA fights. He is well rounded in all aspects of the game, but will he be able to slip away from all the submission attempts by Jiu-Jitsu stylist Nate Diaz? We don’t think so. Having not scored a submission in his last three UFC fights, Nate Diaz is overdue for a submission. We predict Diaz by submission in round 3.

Gray Maynard vs. Roger Huerta

Gray Maynard, another former TUF star, with great wrestling skills is no doubt bringing his A game for Roger Huerta. In order to take the victory though, we hope Maynard has been working on the rest of his skill set. Huerta is very well rounded and it will take a well rounded fighter to finish him. We don’t see either of these guys ending the night early. We’ll give this one to Huerta by unanimous decision.

Nate Quarry Vs. Tim Credeur

Tim Credeur is a very tough, very underrated MMA fighter who no doubt has what it takes to stick around UFC for a while. But is he good enough to fend off the outstanding striking ability of Nate Quarry? Nope. We predict Quarry to get the KO in the first round.

Whatever the outcome of these great Mixed Martial Arts match-ups, it is sure to be an entertaining event. The main card fights can be seen on Spike TV at 8:00pm EST on September 16.
