The headlining event will feature two unbeaten female champions: three-belt featherweight champion Ina Menzer (25-0, 9 KOs) will face challenger Ramona Kühne (15-0, 4 KOs), the reigning WIBF super featherweight champion. Today the combatants faced off at the final press conference at the Rothenseer Autohaus.
In her last fight on Octorber 10th in Rostock Ina Menzer crowned herself with a third world champion title. In the headlining event she defended her WBC and WIBF belts against Esther Schouten in a highly anticipated rematch and secured the WBO belt, who was awarded to a female fighter for the first time. Trained by Michael Timm in Hamburg, Menzer will now face the unbeaten Ramona Kühne of the SES-Boxing stable. Ina Menzer: „Behind me lies the most rotten Christmas of my life. I’m well-trained – even on Christmas Eve and New Year’s. I couldn’t visit relatives and always had to pay attention to what I eat. I’m highly motivated so the whole effort has been worthwhile! Now I want successfully dictate the fight on Saturday. You can’t buy experience and I see having ten more fights to be an advantage against Ramona.“

Her trainer Michael Timm: „We know Ramona has done in three other weight classes. This is a warning to us, we will not underestimate her. We evaluate Ramona as a boxer at the top. We’ve put together some things tactically, but there was no special preparation.“
Ramona Kühne (14-0, 3 KOs) who ist the reiging WIBF super featherweight world champion will try to make history in women’s boxing. When she steps into the ring against triple featherweight champion Ina Menzer she will try a secure her fourth world title belt as she has previously held belts in the junior welterweight, lightweight and super featherweight divisions. The 29 year from Berlin is now training in another and lower weight division. Ramona Kühne: „To become a world champion in a fourth weight class is for me a gigantic challenge. I’m taking Ina Menzer very seriously. She has gotten three belts for free. I think she has to deal with me and this won’t be easy. It’ll be a good fight, we are both good technicians.“
Kühne trainer Stephan Böstfleisch: „Technically and we have not changed a lot, but we have a long hard sparring phase behind us and have trained diligently through the holidays in Magdeburg. We’re ready and very excited.“
